The Rhymes in My Mind

Scribble of Riddles

Butterfly Kisses

I miss butterfly kisses
When our lashes met we were granted three wishes
Something delicious, ambitious, and a little superstitious

A wish to grow old
To have our love story told
Our faith never bought or sold

A wish to be free and branch out as a tree
Intertwining vines hanging our desires
We climbed high and never did tire

A final wish to simply accept what you don't expect
How my eyes wept, oh the tears I swept
A butterfly is not a pet to be kept or caught in a net

Souls flutter and dance in the soil
Wings spread to be crowned royal
Courting love remains eternally loyal

Curl your lashes back
Keep blinking and signal for landing
Breathless while still standing

The nectar of affection can be pure perfection
A smooth injection with no mark of rejection
Energy passes it on in every direction
