Wheels
slowed down at the blinking red light
A sign flashing: "pull on in and take a right"
Shifting my baggage from side-to-side
I check myself and turn the key to #555
Unpacking
and hanging
Creating a wall for my painting
Investigate the space
Some remembrance, only a trace
Compartments
to separate your mess
Blank paper to be written at the desk
Stories escape through the box
Flashing numbers remind you to watch
Ringing
downstairs to make a request
Not wanting to crawl out of my nest
Dispute the side connection
Approve the special menu selection
Knock
Knock echoes the room
Eyes bulge through a hole in the moon
Follow the maze on the floor
Answers spilling underneath the door
A
table wheeled in front of me
Mouthing grace, can't feel my face
No garbage to flush, not getting on top
No cry to hush, it's bound to stop
A
simple buffet of sweet meat
My stomach aches for each treat
A choice to pick and graze
Or overindulge and wake in a daze
After
a few bites I recoil
Reaction is starting to boil
Mental or physical potion bubbling
Cork flies off to celebrate the rumbling
Lazy
reserved the bed
Lights out inside my head
Check out buzzing me down
Roll the sheets head to town
Handing
the claim ticket to the valet
I pondered my stay, was I going the right way
Pulling out of the car park
The rearview flashed a spark
Looking
back the sign changed
The word NO seemed strange
Making my signal to pull out
My ride cruised on without a doubt
Changing
lanes and yielding blind spots
Lead the way to reversing knots...
