Curiosity
picked the lock
No looking back as I turn the key
A nagging question that won't let me be
The answer inside will set me free
Twisting
hands contemplate the plan
Footsteps shuffle their own direction
My heart is up for reelection
Will I be face down on the table of rejection?
Peeled
and sliced by society
Cores tossed to rot, forming a mountain of pity
No still life to sketch of this fruit bowl
Too many shadows are cast across the souls
Parallel
time competing with the mind
Constellations animate the beat of each chime
Bodies sleepwalking in the night of fallacy
Awake to a reality breeding totality
Drinking
malice from my chalice, I return to the palace
Lace the chest with chains of blame
This protest you cannot tame
The revelation is we are ONE, the same
