Ever
hold yourself like you're trapped in a straight jacket?
Only the arms behind your back longing to hold your hand
Not sure how to release this restraint and expose all your fears
Should I stay strapped in, though it exhibits I am not comfortable
in it?
Wrapped
up in a fit too tight
A mummy or mortal who can no longer fight
Blinking crumbs that interrupt my sight
Inject
a shot of reality to wake from this coma
Turn over and sleep even longer
Stop pressing the snooze and choose to be stronger
Positive
and negative voices bouncing against Velcro walls
Your mind stuck in a mucky fleshy stall
Legs shaking like a newborn colt rising to its first stand
Find your instinct to buck and refuse to fall if you can
Armor
yourself with white exterior to mask the blackness in your heart
All these tasks looming outside the glass, where do I start
Do
you choose to follow your dream?
Skip across the rocks releasing screams
You'll see all the noise was illusions just follow the beam
Or
Run
back into your nightmare
Constantly paranoid with every new stare
Afraid of what you might bare, oh do I dare?
All
the white above your head does not mean you're dead
The bulbs of light are beautiful white doves ready to fly instead
